Why is puppy socialization important? A well socialized puppy creates a behaved, relaxed, and safer dog. If you puppy is exposed to a wide variety of situations: like all sizes of dogs/handled by different colored and aged people you create a dog that is not anxious, fearful, or dangerous in unfamiliar situations. If you isolate your puppy and then try and socialize your dog during adolescences, it will be very difficult or even impossible. You will end up with a dog with serious behavioral problems such as aggression or nervous behavior. Exposing your dog to only dogs in the family might not be enough and your dog will only get along with those dogs it grew up with or met during its puppyhood.

There is no better place to socialize your puppy than the Pet Lodge because your pup will be placed in a pack of other well socialized dogs who will guide and discipline your puppy to become well adapted and quickly fit into a pack mentality which is natural to dogs. Within the pack they adapt/learn very quickly but need the opportunity to be in a pack of dogs while there is always supervision from our experienced staff.
